HelloMD and Brightfield Group combined studies show that 42% of CBD oil users have given up using pharmaceutical prescribed drugs. The survey covered 2,400 of Hello MD's Community of 150,000 members engaging with the members in the largest survey to date on cannabidiol or CBD usage and effectiveness.

The survey that was helped by Brightfield Group, studies consumption patterns and demand trends and is committed to providing accurate data in the cannabis industry which is being exploited presently with many unsupported claims.

Forbes.com reported that women were more likely than men to use CBD and once they started using it they were also more likely to stop using traditional medicines. The survey found that fifty five per cent of the CBD users were women, while men preferred the THC-dominant products.

Dr. Perry Solomon, the Chief Medical Officer of HelloMD said, "The most common reasons people used CBD were to treat insomnia, depression, anxiety and joint pain".

Forty two per cent of the users of CBD oil, had said that they have stopped taking their traditional medications such as Tylenol pain killers or prescription drugs like Vicodin and had continued to use the CBD Oils instead.

Eighty per cent of users said that they found the products to be very or extremely effective.

A report released in November 2017 suggests that the numbers of people in the UK that use or have tried CBD oils shows that the figures have doubled in a year from 125,000 in November 2016 to 250,000 in November 2017. As 2018 has arrived it is my prediction that the numbers of UK users will more than triple by November 2018.

The CTA (Cannabis Trades Association UK) states that UK CBD oil product users increase to approximately 1,000 new users each month. CTA UK's Chairman Mike Harlington, stated that around 65 per cent of users are women looking for relief for their back pain, anxiety and epilepsy.

If you are a user or are leaning towards using CBD as a supplement, ensure that you know what you are buying and find reputable dealers so check out the CTAUK (Cannabis Trades Association UK) directory.

A word of advice: Always consult your Doctor if you plan to use CBD oils along side your traditional medication(s). The safe rule to taking CBD oils along side other medications is to take them two hours apart.
